Job Description

Purpose

The Director of Finance and Analysis supports the budgeting and forecasting processes across a specified set of business areas; also, acting as a liaison between senior leadership and Finance. This position acts as a key financial advisor to senior leaders, and is also responsible for ensuring the Financial Planning & Analysis team is providing relevant, insightful financial analysis to business leaders to help them make better decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Support the successful completion of the annual budgeting process and quarterly forecast processes

  • Prepare monthly reporting of results against budget and forecast for specified business areas and ensure proper understanding of these results by leadership

  • Recommend operational improvements after investigating, and analyzing data from a financial and functional views

  • Oversee consolidated reporting for the FP&A team to use internally to share results with executive and senior leadership

  • Consult with Prime management to investigate and analyze key business issues; provide comprehensive and relevant financial analysis

  • Conduct performance reviews, quarterly check-ins and staff 1:1s to guide performance management and employee development efforts and manage toward departmental goals, including quality and process improvement efforts

  • Lead development and support efforts related to Hyperion or PCM, which includes managing an external support vendor

  • Assist in the preparation of Board of Director meeting materials and other executive level presentations

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related area of study, or equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required

  • 8 years of combined financial analysis and/or accounting experience

  • 5 years of leadership/management experience

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship

Additional Qualifications

  • Advanced level knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience creating formulas and macros

  • Experience with Hyperion and Essbase

  • Advanced Knowledge of database tools, general ledger, fixed asset and accounting software

  • Excellent communication skills with experience presenting detailed financial information to senior leaders

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic, growing and evolving environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or CMA

  • Pharmacy, healthcare or insurance experience with exposure to a high-volume environment

Minimum Physical Job Requirements

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

  • Constantly required to sit, use hands to handle or feel, talk and hear

  • Frequently required to reach with hands and arms

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk and stoop, kneel, and crouch

  • Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Reporting Structure

  • Reports to Vice President in the Finance department

Potential pay for this position ranges from $109,000.00 - $174,000.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
