Leads the RMS Syracuse Product Quality Assurance (PQA) organization reporting to the Product Quality Senior Manager with responsibility for all PQA activity and personnel in the Syracuse, NY factory. The PQA Manager will act as the primary Product Quality interface to the Syracuse IWSS programs, partnering with their Production Operations counterparts to ensure manufactured product meets all contractual requirements, as well as providing direct leadership to the PQA Asc Manager on C6ISR programs. There is extensive interaction and teaming with a complex multi-functional team that includes Product Operations, Engineering, Program Offices, other RMS manufacturing locations, and our DCMA Customer base. The PQA team is directly responsible for product inspection, quality process review and approvals, defect monitoring and trending, leading root cause analysis, and ensuring effectiveness of corrective actions. The PQA Manager is responsible for the implementation of the AS9100 compliant Quality Management System in the manufacturing areas, ensuring performance to site level metrics, continuous improvement activities, assisting in implementation of Product Quality focused Digital Transformation/1LMX implementation.

The candidate will provide leadership to the Product Quality team and will lead a team of Product Quality Engineers (approx 20 PQE’s), a Product Quality Asc Mgr, 2 Inspection Supervisors, and approximately 25 inspectors at the Syracuse site.

Basic Qualifications:

- Proven ability to develop and deploy advanced product quality techniques in production of complex electronic and mechanical equipment. These techniques to include product inspection methods and equipment, process controls, mistake proofing, and statistical controls

- Expertise in problem solving/root cause analysis and process management.

- Experienced leader in various Quality, Operations, and/or Program Management positions with increasing responsibility.

- Experience in implementing and maintaining AS9100-certified Quality Management Systems with demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and drive change.

- Knowledge of DOD contract requirements and direct experience with DOD customer interface

- Experience building a strong team of direct and matrixed employees.

- Ability to obtain a clearance

Desired Skills:

- Experience leading represented employees, familiarity with company/union agreements

- Excellent interpersonal skills needed for collaboration, communication, and presentations.

- Technical degree in Engineering, Math, or Science

- Experience working with Program Management/Teams

- Production Quality Experience in a high pressure, fast paced manufacturing environment.

- Audit Experience

- RF/Radar knowledge and/or experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $112,800 - $216,100 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $129,700 - $244,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
