The Federal Financial Manager will support the Senior Assessment Team (SAT) monitoring internal controls over financial systems (ICOFS) and financial reporting (ICOFR). The Manager will enhance governance and leadership engagement for the Managers' Internal Control Program (MICP) along with planning and execution of the SAT. This candidate will drive implementation of approach to identifying, documenting and remediation ICFOR and ICOFS MWs.The candidate will prepare presentation materials and minutes for SAT meetings, and manage relationships with governance members, MICP Coordinators and SAOs. The team member will be required to gain a working knowledge of federal financial reporting, federal business processes, internal controls and OMB A-123, risk management, governance, and financial management systems in support of our clients' efforts to produce the Statement of Assurance.
Minimum 10 years of experience in one or more of the following capabilities: federal accounting and/or auditing; federal financial statement audits; audit/internal controls testing
Minimum 5 years of experience with one or more of the following: OMB Circular A-123, United States Standard General Ledger (USSGL), Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards (GAGAS), US GAO Financial Audit Manual (FAM), Financial Management Regulation (FMR)
Minimum 10 years of experience with MS Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics or related field
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred
Big 4 experience with accounting or auditing on federal advisory engagements
Proven ability to work independently and as a team member
Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time-management skills
Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
A n active security clearance or the ability to obtain one may be required for this role.
