This is a full-time, exempt level position.

Position Summary:

This key operational role is responsible for supervising operations at a high output, dynamic flour mill in Camp Hill, PA. The Operations Supervisor is responsible of all aspects of the plant, during night shifts, from wheat receiving to outbound flour. The ideal candidate sets and maintains ADM’s high standards for safety and quality in each departments while maintaining efficient production. The selected candidates will have good communication skills and the ability to nurture effective interdepartmental, commercial and customer relationships. They will be responsible for identifying and problem solving issues as they arise, while maintaining records in accordance with established ADM policies.

The Operations Supervisor role reports directly to the Plant Manager and will have supervisory responsibility for 8-15 colleagues. The selected candidate will be responsible for colleague performance management on shift and will effectively communicate performance expectations to all team members.

Job Responsibilities:

Health, Safety & Environmental:

  • Facilitate and ensure adherence to safety laws, regulations, rules and sound practices.

  • Coordinate and participate in audits, prioritizing and tracking completion of findings.

  • Proactive address and correct unsafe behavior and conditions.

  • Maintain the necessary health, safety & environmental records and documentation.

  • Encourage colleague engagement in safety.

  • Perform Safety audits and set the example for safety.

Sanitation/Food Safety:

  • Ensure the facility maintains world class sanitation standards.

  • Communicate food safety/sanitation/quality programs to hourly colleagues.

  • Correct and proactively address quality issues in the plant.

  • Prepare the facility for, and participate in, regulatory/third party/customer/company audits.

Production:

  • Reduce or eliminate production barriers.

  • Manage efforts to reduce or eliminate waste.

  • Proactively lead and support Performance Excellence initiatives.

  • Provide technical knowledge for processes and equipment to obtain performance.

  • Utilize production colleagues and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to execute the production plan.

Job Requirements:

  • This position is expected to work 4 – 10 hour shifts per week. Additional hours may be required based on vacation and production schedules.

  • Weekend work will be required.

  • Must have a strong commitment to colleague safety

  • Strongly prefer at least 2 years of operations experience in a manufacturing plant.

  • Experience in a food manufacturing facility is greatly preferred.

  • Require excellent command of the following: leadership, problem solving, self-motivation, organizational skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook)

  • Must be able comprehend and communicate orally and in writing.

  • Position requires standing and walking for long periods, climbing stairs and ladders, working with tools, working within close-confined spaces, and working within extreme temperatures. Working outside in varying weather conditions may be required.
