The Marketing Manager at Caterpillar Inc. plays a key role in leading the execution of comprehensive marketing programs, collaborating closely with stakeholders, and utilizing internal processes effectively. You will be responsible for crafting and implementing marketing initiatives across various channels and segments to drive leads and sales attribution. Working closely with product and industry group strategies, you translate business objectives into actionable plans, ensuring alignment with customer value messaging. Additionally, the Marketing Manager oversees regional reporting and execution while managing budgets and delivering marketing ROI. Partnering with agencies and internal stakeholders, you will analyze market trends, recommend strategy adjustments, and provide valuable customer insights to strengthen messaging. What You Will Do:

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of dynamic marketing programs, fostering collaboration with key stakeholders and optimizing internal processes for seamless implementation.

  • Strategically develop and deploy multi-channel marketing initiatives tailored to diverse segments, driving lead generation, and maximizing sales attribution.

  • Translate corporate product and industry strategies into actionable plans, spearheading support for new product launches and crafting resonant customer value messaging.

  • Spearhead regional marketing reporting and execution, meticulously managing budgets to ensure optimal ROI while overseeing sales, impressions and leads.

  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with agencies and internal collaborators to amplify marketing impact and enhance brand visibility.

  • Analyze market dynamics, proactively recommending strategic shifts in marketing and business development to capitalize on emerging trends and feedback.

  • Serve as the voice of the customer, providing invaluable insights to product teams to refine customer value propositions and capitalize on market opportunities.

  • Harness critical platforms like Salesforce Marketing Cloud, and cat.com to refine marketing strategies and drive enhanced performance across all channels.

What You Have (Basic Qualifications):

  • Education/experience: Bachelor’s degree in marketing or business OR extensive and demonstrated progressive experience in directly related roles.

  • Exceptional communication skills , both written and verbal, demonstrated through the ability to convey ideas effectively across various channels and to diverse audiences.

  • Proficiency in promotion and marketing communication strategies , with a proven track record of developing compelling messaging and promotional materials that drive engagement and sales. Proven experience building complex marketing programs.

  • Strong customer focus , evidenced by the ability to understand and anticipate customer needs, preferences, and challenges, resulting in the delivery of tailored solutions and experiences.

  • Demonstrate aptitude in relationship management , with the ability to cultivate and maintain productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve mutual goals and objectives.

  • Familiar with marketing platforms to manage vendors/supplier and ability to support marketing efforts (AEM, Sales Force Marketing Cloud, Percolate)

Top Candidates Will Have :

  • Experience in the following:

  • Building Construction products or similar products

  • Industry knowledge

  • Caterpillar Dealers

  • Exposure to digital marketing - Demonstrated understanding of Search Engine Optimization (SEO) & Search Engine Marketing (SEM)

Additional Info :

  • Preferred location: Cary, NC

  • Peoria, IL will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

  • 25-35% domestic travel is expected.

  • Domestic relocation is available to those who qualify.

  • ISE assignments are not available.
