The Senior Manager of Online & Channel Merchandising manages a team of merchandising analysts responsible for developing and executing a profitable and customer focused merchandising strategy across all web properties. This role will work cross functionally with other segments of the business (Marketing/IT/Operations/Sales) to develop a promotional and pricing roadmap that furthers the business objectives of Ricoh.

Job Responsibilities

  • · Manages team of merchandising analysts
  • · Develops creative merchandising strategy and sourcing plan that drives profitable revenue
  • · Requires senior leadership by directing appropriate pricing strategy for channel-specific merchandise and ensuring product/category gross margin that delivers profitable growth
  • · Leverages tops-down direction to set the overall strategy and merchandise direction for the division
  • · Anticipates market/business trends and develops a plan for response
  • · Assists with assortment selection process and reviews assortments for balance and adherence to strategic and financial objectives
  • · Establishes and maintains effective relationships with his/her peers in other digital domains (Marketing/IT)
  • · Establishes and maintains effective relationships with IT and Channel partners to drive and promote Ricoh products
  • · Understands online and channel competitors strengths, weaknesses, and strategies and develops effective counter strategies
  • · Uses customer data to develop customer-focused merchandising strategy
  • · Uses his/her creative and innovative thinking skills to develop site features and channel innovations to continue sales growth
  • · Accountable for merchandising team performance, recommends revisions to the merchandise plan/forecast based on sound analysis and ensures corrective actions are implemented
  • · Work closely with Testing & Analytics teams to utilize A/B and MVT testing to improve merchandising effectiveness
  • Reviews and approves the promotional plans

Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

  • 8+ Years of experience in Merchandising, Analytics, and Business Strategy
  • 3+ years of experience at a Sr. Manager or Director Level running an online merchandising team
  • P&L Management Experience
  • Experience in hiring, training, coaching and managing strong talent
  • Adept at relationship building through all levels of the organization
  • Bachelors degree in marketing, finance, or other business discipline (MBA preferred)
