BASIC PURPOSE

The Truck Builder will ensure the efficient layout and assembly of each Truck Builder load to optimize the number of cases per truck leaving the division and make loading and unloading as efficient as possible.

Schedule:

Sunday - Thursday

1:00 PM - 9:00 PM

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Use Truck Builder software to layout and assemble each trailer. Analyze the output to ensure that loads are built to maximize both safety and efficiency while loading and unloading of the product .

Maintain equipment and ensure the proper supply of all necessary materials to facilitate successful loading and unloading processes. Order supplies as needed.

Respond to all driver concerns regarding loads built with Truck Builder. Adjust loads as necessary to address concerns and maximize efficiency.

Assist in loading trailers as needed to meet daily production goals.

Other duties as assigned by the manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work will take place at a desk in an office environment and within normal warehouse environments including cooler and freezer areas where temperatures may be as low as -5 degrees.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities :

Effective communication both verbally and in writing.

Strong math, analytical, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Basic computer skills with a good knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.

Problem- solving and critical thinking abilities to solve problems of limited scope.

Strong teamwork skills with the ability to support others in the department and division.

Education

High school diploma or GED/equivalent required

Certifications/Training

Experience with Truck Builder software preferred.

The following information is provided in accordance with certain state and local laws. Compensation depends on experience, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. In New York, the expected compensation for this role is $23.00 - $27.00 per hour. This role is also eligible for overtime compensation. Benefits for this role include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
