Job Description:

3M is seeking a Pilot Plant Technician for the Semiconductor Business - Electronics Materials Solutions Division located in Cottage Grove, MN. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Setting up and operating automated pilot plant processing equipment, perform QC measurements and optical inspection

  • Provide the necessary support to conduct experiments and scale-up manufacturing under technical staff’s direction

  • Work in a flexible work environment with varying work shifts and varying process equipment assignments

  • Work Center Production Reporting

  • Sustain 5S methods in work area

  • Train new employees on equipment as needed

  • Work safely in an industrial environment

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school diploma / GED or higher from an accredited institution

  • Minimum of one (1) year of combined experience in a manufacturing, pilot plant, and/or lab environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or higher from an accredited university

  • Experience with automated powder pressing and powder compounding

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem solving / analysis skills to operate and troubleshoot equipment as well as improve processes

  • Experience in quality control procedures and testing

  • Three (3) years of experience in high volume, fast paced manufacturing environment

  • Experience with production reporting in PMCS/OPRA and quality data entry in MES

Location: Cottage Grove, MN

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation: Is not authorized
