Thompson Dallas is a luxury hotel located within The National, Dallas’ newest urban luxury mixed-use project. Essentials include 219 rooms with 52 suites; three full-service offerings for dining and drink; a boutique spa and fitness experience focused on wellness, a variety of spaces for events, including the 14,000 square foot National Ballroom.

The Reservations Agent is an integral member of the team thatcreates distinctively different and authentic experiences for our guests. You will warmly and enthusiastically assist guests with reservations, inquiries and cancellations, and quoting available rates to maximize room revenue. You must be engaging and able to answer questions and provide information.

Essential Functions –

· Assist guests by selling future reservations

· Promptly follow up with guest inquiry leads for second change bookings

· Answer telephone calls and emails in a prescribed and professional manner

· Maintain potential and current guest profile information

· Assist customers with questions regarding their existing reservations

· Provide concierge services with general knowledge of property and surrounding area including restaurants, entertainment, special events and general directions.

· Strong ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail

· Deliver the highest standard of service to all customers

· Effectively manage daily correspondences and operational tasks to exceed customer expectations and expand customer base

· Review and charge advance purchase reservations

· Assist in balancing house inventory for current and future dates

· Assist with VIP and business travel guest reservations

· Assist with building guests’ profiles and preferences

· Works closely with Dir. Of Revenue and other Room Operational managers to ensure satisfaction for guests

· Works with Rooms Controller on House status daily

· Assisting Director of Revenue Management with departmental projects

· Display effective computer literacy and be familiar with MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel). Revinate Certification, Applications & Software knowledge a plus.

· Possess a positive and upbeat attitude at all times

· Professional customer service nature with desire to exceed

· Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

· Desire to be part of high growth, fast paced business

This position is designated as fully remote, with occasional in-office days required for training purposes.

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 2 years of related experience and/or training in reservation or hospitality industry.

· Candidates with a strong sales background in non-hospitality related field will be considered.

· Flexibility. This is a demanding business and we look for flexibility with work days and hours, but it’s also a lot of fun!

· Must demonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, and possess excellent telephone etiquette.

· Customer Service Oriented. The best part of serving others is creating experiences for them that go beyond the expected

· Great communicator. Providing amazing experiences requires the ability to communicate fluently in English both verbally and through legible writing

· Detail oriented. Ability to keep on task and work quickly and efficiently without making errors.

· Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages.

· Knowledge of Opera, RESERVE and Synxis preferred

· Revinate Certification a plus.
