Job Purpose and Impact

As a Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing the interconnected components of our manufacturing system. Your focus will be developing and deploying projects, coordinating various facets of plant operations. To do this effectively you will also apply and develop engineering standards and procedures. You will be responsible for planning, designing, estimating, and overseeing construction and maintenance activities while collaborating closely with manufacturing plant engineers to enhance facility planning and design. This role requires a keen eye for detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maximizing production facilities and personnel efficiency. This role demands a forward-thinking and detail-oriented professional with a knack for optimizing manufacturing systems. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with problem-solving abilities to drive continuous improvement and efficiency in our manufacturing processes.

Key Accountabilities

  • Planning and Design: Plan, design, and estimate time and cost for the construction and maintenance of structures, equipment, facilities, systems, and components.

  • Collaboration and Support: Assist manufacturing plant and facilities engineers with facility planning and design, offering expertise and support in optimizing operations.

  • Analysis and Implementation: Conduct cost, inventory, and production control studies along with human factors analysis to develop and execute plans for facility modifications and operational method revisions.

  • Optimization: Devise methods to maximize the utilization of production facilities and personnel, ensuring optimal efficiency and productivity.

  • Problem-Solving: Independently address moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, escalating more intricate problems to the appropriate staff for resolution.

  • Adaptability: Undertake other duties as assigned, showcasing flexibility and readiness to contribute to various aspects of projects and operations.

Position Information.

  • The business will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.

  • Relocation assistance will be provided for this position.

  • This position is in Dayton, Ohio.

  • The work schedule is Monday – Friday typically 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and occasionally might have to work on weekends based on business needs.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of two years of related work experience, demonstrating practical knowledge and expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in developing work packages, showcasing your ability to organize and structure project tasks effectively.

  • Proficiency in creating safe work plans, ensuring a secure and compliant work environment.

  • Familiarity with quality control plans, highlighting your commitment to maintaining high standards in manufacturing processes.

  • Experience working with SAP systems, facilitating efficient management of manufacturing operations.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project, aiding in project planning, tracking, and execution.
