HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Director Graduate Medical Education FT Days in El Paso, Texas

Administrative responsibility for Graduate Medical Education services and activities. Responsible for department operations, budget planning, development of information systems and coordination of information flow between the Graduate Medical Education Office and all other departments. Performs quality improvement functions to assure consistency, communication and efficiency. Oversees the daily activities of the department, coordinators and residents. Works proactively with residents, medical staff, and departments to promote the medical education program, outcomes, and service to Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare Customers and the community served.

  5. Administrative preparation and achievement of operational and capital budgets.

  7. Communicates upward and downward regularly to assure knowledge of hospital policies, procedures, financial position, healthcare environment changes, system improvements needed, etc., to administrative officers, medical staff and staff employees.

  8. Administers and communicates human resources policies to employees in proactive, equitable and supportive manner.

    1. Assists and cooperates with other directors to fulfill the mission of the hospital and the corporation.

    2. Accepts responsibility for personal growth and development by participating in internal/external activities.

    3. Maintains clinical/managerial competency by participating in meetings and in-services.

    4. Oversees and directs all Graduate Medical Education Office functions to ensure compliance with all TJC standards, Medical Staff Bylaws and any other applicable policies.



  • Education and Training experience required.

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Experience in management and supervision required.

  • Understanding of medical terminology and medical staff functions.

  • Computer knowledge.

PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Medical Staff or Quality certification preferred

  • Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or Other Healthcare related area of study preferred
