Lockheed Martin F-22 Software Engineer Senior (Level 3) in Fort Worth, Texas

This position is with the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics F-22 Communication Software team in Ft. Worth, Texas. This position requires a software engineer experienced in the development lifecycle as the position responsibilities will be focused on software development and integration on embedded hardware.

Candidate responsibilities will span the software development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design, software implementation, integration, and operational test, as well as adjudicating change requests as the software is updated, tested, and integrated. Responsibilities will also include planning and collaborating with other teams coordinating multi-subsystem and system level testing needs. Candidate must be dedicated, self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision, work well with other engineers, and be willing to accomplish program goals within cost and schedule.

Required to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the software development life cycle and ensure the standards are met.

Required to support product demonstrations and customer meetings and addressing customer feedback in a timely manner.

A level 3 employee Typically has 5 - 10 years of professional experience.

***Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Secret security clearance to start.***

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a

Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related STEM degree.

- Experience developing in C++ and/or Python program languages

- Relevant experience with embedded software

development tool sets, and file formats (compilers, linkers, debuggers).

Desired Skills:

- Agile Software Development (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)

- Agile Process Tools (e.g. JIRA)

- Software Development Tools (e.g. Visual Studio,)

- Software Configuration Management (e.g. git, bitbucket, Version One

- Service Oriented Architecture Knowledge

- Applicants must have the ability to work under only general direction, and independently determine and develop approach to solutions.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
