Lockheed Martin Aeronautics is seeking a Summer 2024 Software Engineer Intern to support the Mission Systems Roadmaps (MSR) Foundational Technology & Common Systems portfolio. In this role, you will perform duties as assigned as a part of a team within the Engineering & Technology organization. The individual selected will be responsible for working with internal MSR software teams, other cross-functional LM programs, and External Customers to develop, integrate & test, and interface with simulation platforms and training environments. Additionally, there will be opportunities to brief to customer and program technical leadership.

You will be expected to:

• Apply technical expertise to develop and integrate software solutions that may require investigation and critical problem solving

• Candidate will be expected to work with all stakeholders to ensure software compliance and coding best practices

• Ability to shift priorities quickly in alignment with Program and Customer needs

• Must be self-motivated and self-directed with a strong work ethic and time-management

skills

• Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive critique and manage interpersonal dynamics

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a

government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications:

Pursuing degree in software engineering, computer science, or related engineering/technical field.

Experience with programming languages (C, C++, C#, Java, etc)

Experience with software test and debug

Experience working with team

Desired Skills:

Familiar with Agile process

A desire to work with embedded systems and hardware\\firmware

Proficient with Microsoft Office

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
