The NPI Program Manager is the primary customer interface during the development, qualification and launch for their assigned portfolio. They are responsible for ensuring program deliverables are aligned with customer needs; delivered on time, within the budget, at or below target cost and expected yields.
Manages the cross-functional team of (Engr., Research, Mfg, Commercial and Quality) to define and drive the execution of NPI programs utilizing the PM process and supporting toolset (Daptiv)
Assesses the program needs and pulls together a cross-functional team to build an execution plan, drive discipline and challenge barriers.
Manages customer relationship and ensures customer deliverables are met
Drives weekly reviews with customer
Reports on key customer deliverables
Ensures information required from customers is obtained in a timely manner
Schedules and supports customer visits
Reports/presents program status to customer executives during routine program review and – if needed – problem solving meetings
Leads internal/external cross-functional recurring program reviews
Leads cross-functional team during recurring program execution meetings to ensure the timely completion of tasks (meetings include functional managers).
Assigns SPAs to address issues and open items, doesn’t allow assignment avoidance.
Ensures clear communication of meeting minutes including notes, assignments and highlights.
Communicates to the broader organization the status of each program.
Reports out directly to executive management and ensures engagement
Manages a scorecard analysis of each program
Identifies opportunities and risks
Deploys APP’s program management process and toolset
Leads the deployment of key PM processes and ensures adherence
Leads the deployment of the program management software toolset
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:
Outstanding interpersonal skills are required to manage often difficult circumstances in which team members and/or customers may disagree with the overall direction of the project or specific issues that may arise.
Self confidence balanced with tact to challenge functional leaders to keep their commitments.
Candidate must have ability to manage the customer by tactfully requiring timely information, selling recovery approaches and minimizing customer reactions to project delays by instilling confidence in Arconic’s proposed approach.
Candidate must be self-driven with an acute sense of urgency.
Ability to create and think through complex development program plans and identify and resolve gaps / risk before they cause issues.
Outstanding organizational skills and discipline to build project plans with the ability to also look at the macro view subjectively.
Minimum Years of Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution.
Experience in the investment casting or aerospace industries.
Knowledge of APQP or PPAP

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
A minimum of 5 years experience launching new product development programs within a manufacturing environment.
