Dell Associate Systems Engineer I in Lisle, Illinois
Provides technical expertise in support of pre-sales activities in the assigned market.
Assists in the analysis, design and development of fully integrated technology solutions.
Makes technical and sales presentations. Understands EMC and competitive technology and business applications within the assigned market.
May assist in the development of responses to customer requests and proposals as required.
Conducts research, answers questions and removes objections that arise in a sales campaign.
Assists the Sales Team to develop and implement specific account penetration strategies, produce account specific product and service and sales plans.
Develops relationships with the account team, partners and customers in support of sales team objectives
Configures and documents EMC software, hardware and service solutions to meet customer and sales objectives. Completes required presales documentation quickly and accurately.
Desired Skills & Experience:
1-2 yrs of enterprise systems engineering and/or pre-sales experience, be self-motivated highly energetic, with a strong hands-on, “can do” approach.
Strong written, oral and presentation skills with the ability to discuss technical concepts to a variety of audiences.
A high level of business acumen
1+ years of virtualization infrastructure
Knowledge of Linux / Unix systems
1+ years experience in software development, preferably enterprise applications using Java / Spring
Experience with production systems and dealing with production issues
An understanding of cloud service and deployment models
