JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:

Internally classified as “Manager, Large Customer Accounting Services (Meter to Cash),” this position oversees all activities related to Entergy’s customer’s billing, including billing exceptions, account maintenance and set-up, billing reads, edits and tampering. Provides supervision of the customer invoicing and accounting billing staff and acts as a point of contact for billing questions and concerns. Provides direction for invoicing policies, procedures, processes, controls, and systems. Works closely with other departments to ensure compliance with all policy, rules, and regulations, resolve conflicts between work groups and take accountability of performance results for the organization.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure accurate, timely, and cost-effective invoicing & related services for Entergy’s, commercial, governmental & industrial customers, including Major Accounts Billing.

  • Lead cross-functional process improvement initiatives/projects that improves billing accuracy by streamlining data collection and timeliness which improves customer satisfaction and achieve Entergy strategic initiatives.

  • Manage SOX controls to ensure awareness and adherence with company standards.

  • Promote a culture of inclusivity where team members embrace safety, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction as their top priorities.

  • Provide leadership and support to Entergy account management and customer service support and promote strong lines of communication with the Customer Service organizations.

  • Achieve effective budget management including cost tracking and adjustments to remain within budget guidelines.

  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce billing exceptions and cost of processing, while optimizing internal and external customer satisfaction.

  • Comply with regulatory billing practices and guidelines for electrical and gas services.

Minimum education required of the position

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Math, Economics, Finance, or Business is required or equivalent work experience. Master of Business Administration degrees is a plus.

Minimum experience required of the position

  • 7+ years of experience in related areas, 3 of which are in a supervisory position is preferred. Customer Service experience within a regulated utility environment is a plus.

Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required of the position

  • Knowledge of rates, regulatory requirements, billing systems and billing processes.

  • Strong analytical and problem- solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge/Experience in Customer Service and operations.

  • Ability to lead/motivate a diverse and geographically dispersed workgroup.
