Brands: BEP / Blue Sea Systems / Marinco / Ancor / Progressive Industries & Del City

Location: Menomonee Falls (WI) or Lowell (MI)

We are seeking a team-centric, motivated product manager with a passion for making customers’ lives easier every day. This position will drive efficiency and productivity by coordinating with multi-functional teams such as R&D, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Operations, Finance, Legal, Purchasing, Category Management and customers.

DESCRIPTION:

The team you would join the Product Managers globally manage the entire product lifecycle and roadmap by developing an overarching product strategy, defining product specifications and requirements, and guiding the design, development, launch, and marketing of the product. Also you will be a part of a global, energetic and diverse team working in US, in the Netherlands and in New Zealand.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manages product lifecycle and product performance such as Cost/Quality, Maintenance of Business, End of Life, Model line enhancements, SKU management and sales performance of assigned product category.

  • Per example: Monitor and make recommendations to improve operational efficiencies, quality issues, warranty/servicing costs, margins, and forecasting.

  • Lead the development of strategic and operational direction including new product plans / roadmaps as well as day-to-day tactical execution of product portfolio plans.

  • Responsible for meeting financial targets and driving growth for the assigned product category.

  • Develop and prioritize the business cases for key product and service initiatives.

  • Identify strategic business partner opportunities for the assigned product category.

  • Organize and manage cross-functional initiatives to maintain current products within the assigned category.

  • Manage pricing process for new and existing products.

  • Assists on developing promotional strategies, sales programs, and product training.

  • Support the company's participation in trade shows and other special events.

  • All other duties assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Act as a champion for the assigned product category throughout the new product development process and product lifecycle of the assigned products and product category.

  • Demonstrated business leadership abilities. Proven track record of leading teams directly and indirectly (through collaboration and persuasion) to achieve business growth.

  • Ability to identify consumer, customer, product, and industry trends and develop strategies to take advantage of market opportunities.

  • Demonstrated willingness to challenge the status quo and constructively drive change while fostering teamwork and core enterprise values.

  • Communicate effectively with different levels and functional groups within the organization. Per example; Management, Project/Product-teams, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Planning and Marketing.

  • Excel in problem solving, innovation, team participation, and self-motivation.

  • Fundamental understanding of operational processes, financial planning, pricing, margins, costs, inventories, and financial statements.

  • Fundamental understanding of how electro-mechanical products function from a technical perspective along with the benefits they provide to a consumer with the ability to explain this to audiences of all skill levels.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in product management or related field, preferably in durable goods.

  • Proven ability to drive growth through an understanding of the consumer and market, along with the development and execution of strategic plans and initiatives.

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
