Lockheed Martin Contracts Management Sr. Staff - C-130 International - Level 5 in Marietta, Georgia

Description: We are Lockheed Martin

This Individual Contributor position will perform contracts management functions across the spectrum of actions associated with providing supplies and services, from capture through proposal, contract award, and all phases of contract administration in support of the C-130 Air Mobility and Maritime Missions (AMMM) Aero LOB. This position will support both Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and International Direct Commercial

Sales (DCS) contracts. This position will require the selected individual to travel domestically as well as internationally to support the mission (roughly 25%).

What to expect:

Proposal Preparation and Coordination:

o Review and evaluate customer Requests for Proposal (RFP) for new business efforts and/or modifications to existing contracts.

o Provide contractual recommendations, conduct risk assessments and create mitigation plans, and propose alternative approaches to contract execution through contract language revisions.

o Coordinate proposal generation and submission,

collaborate with other functional areas to investigate and reconcile significant contract changes that frequently impact cost, schedule, technical specifications, etc.

Contract Management and Negotiations:

o Collaborate with associated functional organizations and customers to ensure conformance with contractual obligations, remain cognizant of potential or existing problem areas, and implement required corrective actions.

o Develop and apply advanced contractual concepts,

techniques, and standards to assigned duties.

o Develop and apply solutions to complex problems which require a high degree of ingenuity, contractual creativity, and innovation.

o Continuously evaluate and oversee contract performance.

o Create and maintain enduring relationships with internal and external customers to facilitate timely and transparent communications.

o Ensures final contract documents are consistent with agreements reached at negotiations

Contract Closeout:

o Ensure timely contract closure by initiating closeout activities as required by terms and conditions.

o Create contract closeout schedules and coordinate with functional areas to drive closure of administrative tasks as required by company policies and federal regulations.

A level 5 employee Typically has 14 - 20 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Experience in reviewing and drafting terms

and conditions.

• Experience with USG Contracts (FAR/DFARS) in all aspects of the contract life cycle including proposals, contract administration, and close-out

• First-hand negotiation experience

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, and/or equivalent experience/combined education

Desired Skills:

• Experience with the Aero Proposal Tool Suite (APTS).

• Experience in reviewing and drafting international terms and conditions (acceptance, intellectual property, warranty, liquidated damages & penalties, limitation of liability) which minimize risk and maximize return on sales.

• Experience working with the Canadian Ministry of Defence and Public Works and Government Services (PWGS).

• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment and work well under pressure.

• Possess effective relationship-building skills with peers, leadership, and customers.

• Strong business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions, providing governance to the program team in carrying out the terms of the contract.

• Ability to make effective presentations to executive

leadership.

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $123,500 - $232,800. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

This position is incentive plan eligible.

Pay Rate:

The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $107,400 - $205,900 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

This position is incentive plan eligible.
