Office of the CIO

The Office of the CIO is the back office of IT that includes IT Asset Management (ITAM), IT Vendor Management Office, Project Management Office, Strategy, and is essential for ensuring strong, frictionless IT customer engagement for the broader organization, as the Office of the CIO acts as the process owner for much of our project and product demand management processes.

What You'll Do

The IT Organizational Change & Communications Leader will:

  • Develop and articulate a clear vision for the Organization Change Management IT Program

  • Drive the overall program strategy, managing multiple related projects and ensuring alignment across initiatives

  • Plan for the long-term evolution of Organization Change Management, including scalability, futureproofing, and integration with emerging technologies

  • Evaluate potential for expanding Organization Change Management support in IT to integrate with Organization Change Management initiatives

  • Lead and manage change initiatives related to business processes, systems, and technologies, driving adoption and proficiency of changes within the organization

  • Develop and implement change management strategies and plans that maximize employee adoption and usage and minimize resistance

  • Apply a structured methodology and lead change management activities

  • Create and manage measurement systems to track adoption, utilization, and proficiency of individual changes

  • Identify potential risks and anticipated points of resistance, and develop specific plans to mitigate or address the concerns

  • Develop a set of actionable and targeted change management plans – including communication plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan and resistance management plan

  • Manag the formulation and ongoing tracking of each project as it relates to organizational change management

  • Support the design, development, delivery, and management of communications

  • Conduct impact analyses, assess change readiness and identify key stakeholders

  • Provide input, document requirements and support the design and delivery of training programs

  • Coach leaders and project sponsors on how to be an effective organizational change manager

Who You Are

Skills

The IT Organizational Change & Communications Leader must have the following skills:

  • Excellent relationship builder

  • Exceptional general communication skills including writing, copyediting, presentation, and session facilitation

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work with internal and external stakeholders

  • Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work

  • Ability to effectively utilize common office productivity software such as MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Outlook, and internet browsers

Knowledge

The IT Organizational Change & Communications Leader must have knowledge and experience of the following:

  • Proven expertise in Strategic Communications approaches and standards in business communications

  • Proven ability to guide execution of communication content to consistently optimize messaging, enhance program goals, and adhere to established standards

  • Ability to manage necessary resources to resolve problems in a timely and effective manner

  • Ability to synthesize complex materials and craft creative, persuasive messaging for a variety of audiences including the presentation of technical topics to general audiences

  • Ability to understand and work with large, complex systems

  • Proven ability to comply with and enforce pertinent policies, procedures, regulations, and requirements

Additionally, an understanding of IT business continuity, cybersecurity, and integrated risk management and optimization methodologies is highly desirable, along with knowledge of IT management.

Experience

The following experience is considered essential:

  • Experience managing a change management or training team

  • Proven ability to lead and coordinate collaborators in the execution of multiple and interdependent deliverables

  • Demonstrated experience building and managing exceptional relationships to achieve results in line with strategic goals

  • 5-8 years of experience in one of the following fields communications, marketing, information technology

The following experience is considered desirable:

  • Experience with ServiceNow

Education and Training

  • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in communications, marketing, or equivalent background or a related field or equivalent experience

  • Certification in Organizational Change Management (Prosci, CCMP, etc.)
