Work location: Mt. Vernon

Position: Temp to Permanent Hire

Rate of pay: $12.50 per hour

Candidate must be willing to work all shifts. The shift will be communicated to the successful candidate at time of offer

A1 Shift: 5:30AM-2:00PM

A2 Shift: 6:00AM-2:30PM

A3 Shift: 10:30AM-7:00PM

Must be able to understand and follow verbal/written instructions

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Finished Lumber Stacking:

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

In this role, you will be responsible for transporting finished lumber from the mill to karts (less than 5 feet away) and then placed into sections marked for finished product. Candidate must be physically fit, and have the ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs. without assistance, as well as ability to standing for long periods of time, walking, twisting and bending continuously.

Pallet Board Stacking:

In this role, you will be responsible for stacking the boards used to assembly pallets. Simply pulling the boards from the mill and stacking them as needed. Candidate must be physically fit, and have the ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs. without assistance, as well as ability to standing for long periods of time, walking, twisting and bending continuously.

Clean Up Crew:

In this role, you will be responsible for cleaning all of the worksite areas as needed. This is a fast paced position, candidate must be physically fit, and have the ability to lift 25 to 50 lbs. without assistance, as well as ability to standing for long periods of time, walking, twisting and bending continuously. This will be throwing away scrap wood, sweeping work sites, and removing debris.

Minimum Requirements and Capabilities:

  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to run small hand tools and shop equipment

  • Ability to identify potential issues and proactively recommend and implement solutions

  • Ability to take direction, following safety instructions

  • Ability to work collaboratively with others as a team

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines

  • Candidates must wear steel-toed work boots while working on site.

  • Candidates must wear long pants(jeans preferred), no profanity on shirts while working on site.

  • Candidates must have a current valid Driver License

  • Candidates must have a clear 7 year back ground and a clean pre-employment drug screen
