The individual selected for this position will Assemble Microwave Modules on the production line in the TACAIR Microwave Factory on a variety of products including DEWS/QATAR, EPAWSS, and 56C.

As a Microwave Technician on First Shift you will make impacts in the following ways;

  • Fabricate and/or modifies complex micro-integrated circuit modules or microwave/RF integrated circuit modules and sub-assemblies by following specific instructions, such as for wire and ribbon bonding utilizing various manual and automatic bonding machines or using an MRSI microwave component automated pick and place machine.

  • Fabricate and/or modify complex microwave/RF integrated circuit modules and sub-assemblies. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • High School Diploma and 2 years work experience or equivalent.

  • Ability to work under a microscope for extended periods of time.

  • Must be familiar with substrate attach (duroid/ceramic), MMICs, IC's, caps, diodes and resistors, soldering skills and eutectic die attach.

  • Experience with lamination presses, bladder bag ovens and sheet epoxies (mainly with the focus of attaching substrates to modules/housings). Must be familiar with working with a wide variety of adhesives and epoxy's.

  • Able to work with a microscope for an entire shift.

  • Familiar with MIL-STD-883 and working with bonding complex microwave modules

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

1 Year Microwave Manufacturing Assembly experience in addition to the required skills, experience

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $46090 - $73700

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
