3M Oak Hills is seeking a MCO Operator for Oak Hills, CA. This position is FULL-TIME.
Job Description:
The person hired for the position MCO Operator will be responsible for producing and assembling products in the plant. They operate and maintain machinery, ensure production standards are met, finalize products, and prepare them for shipping.
Responsibilities:
Records in-process inspection data. Records information on Shop Orders in accordance with WSI requirements.
Uses computer systems to accurately report all production transactions.
Operate equipment following department Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Workstation Instructions (WSIs).
Follows all department and corporate procedures regarding safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory. Actively wears all required personal protective equipment: safety glasses and safety shoes, including 5S daily.
Visually inspects at various operating steps/operations for product/material defects and that the product is properly identified to maintain traceability
Required:
Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher
Ability to work on weekends, working overtime, rotating shifts, and/or short notice shift coverage
2nd Shift (3pm – 1:30am), can work on 1st shift (5am – 3:30pm) during training
Desired:
Possesses basic mathematical skills and is able to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Basic Office 365 skills (Microsoft Excel).
Uses and demonstrates knowledge of good safety practices and takes ownership for running of a safe operation.
Basic computer skills are required to perform the duties in this position.
The starting rate of pay for this position is $21.79 and goes up to $23.32 and after 12 months of employment. The targeted compensation represents a good faith estimate and can vary based on factors including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This posting is for a MCO Operator at 3M Oak Hills. 3M anticipates that multiple openings for this position will occur over time. Qualified applicants may be considered as openings occur at 3M Quapaw, and 3M will accept applications for up to 6 months from the posting date of this requisition.
