Hyatt Resort Manager in PARK CITY, Utah

Description:

Opening in late 2024, the Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is in the famed Deer Valley ski resort and approximately 40 minutes from the Salt Lake City International Airport. The Grand Hyatt Deer Valley Hotel is part of a new development, planned to incorporate 17 ski lifts, ±1,600 residential units, 8 hotels with a total of ±1,350 rooms, ±250,000 square feet of conference and retail space, and one of the largest “ski beaches” in the world.

The Grand Hyatt is comprised of 387 rooms, inclusive of approximately 40 suites with approximately 25,900 square feet of net indoor meeting space, lobby level 3-meal restaurant and bar, signature bar, pool/apres ski bar and grill, coffee bistro, large outdoor event terrace, pool and whirlpool, kids club, and fitness area. In addition to the Hotel, there will be 55 condominium residences.

The Resort Manager will oversee the entire Food & Beverage division as well as the Rooms Division at the resort. The F&B division will be the primary focus for the pre-opening of the resort. Duties will include training and coaching of direct reports, executing necessary decisions to drive Hyatt’s purpose and achieve Hyatt’s goal of becoming the most preferred hospitality brand in our local market. This individual will have the ability to ensure the hotel’s operations meet brand standards while building colleague engagement, understanding guests’ needs and maximizing hotel revenue.

The Resort Manager will report directly to the General Manager on all day-to-day operational matters. He or she will be responsible for managing the efficient and smooth running of specific areas within the Rooms division as well as the Food and Beverage division while ensuring all Hyatt Hotels Corporation initiatives, materials and policies are introduced, implemented and maintained. In addition, the Resort Manager will be responsible for achieving the key objectives as laid down by the Corporate and Functional Strategies and in accordance with Hyatt Hotels Corporation Grand Hyatt Brand Standards while meeting all stakeholders' expectations.

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate with have 6 years of progressive leadership experience within Food and Beverage (as this will be the focus for pre-opening through opening)

  • Luxury hotel experience preferred

  • Experience with the Forbes standards preferred

  • Experience with Hyatt preferred

  • Identifies with Hyatt values of respect, empathy, integrity, inclusion, experimentation and wellbeing

  • Candidates will have the ability to lead and manage the guest experience throughout all hotel operations.

  • Collaborates with the General Manager and department leaders in achieving the below:

  • Business strategy development – stays current with industry trends and monitors strengths and weaknesses of competitors.

  • Business strategy execution - Verifies that property business strategy and employees are aligned with ownership's business strategies and vision; holds property leadership team accountable for successful delivery.

  • Sales and Marketing - Works closely with Sales and Marketing team to develop revenue generating strategies for property.

  • Brand Champion - Serves as a passionate brand advocate and verifies that the intent of the brand is pulled through in the guest experience.

  • Employee and Labor Relations – Believes in treating employees fairly, and with respect; builds rapport with employees by fostering an environment of open communication.

  • Owner Relations - Builds strong connections with property owners through proactive and on-going communication.
