Reporting to the Director of Platform Strategy and Business Innovation, the Senior Manager for Business Innovation and Market Insights will lead efforts to identify and develop business models, structures, and innovation across orthopaedic franchises to advance our leadership in orthopaedic innovation and accelerate growth in technologies. They will own the development of the commercial platform strategy aligned with the 10-year innovation roadmap.

They will own the development of a cross-orthopedic business strategy including opportunity assessment, financial modeling, and market insights for pipeline innovation. Based on these insights and in partnership with the VELYS downstream marketing, finance, and commercial organizations, they will build a globally cohesive VELYS go-to-market strategy intended to accelerate profitable growth of current and pipeline technologies. This go-to-market strategy will need to consider regional market variation and shifting sites of care by allowing for flexibility in execution and implementation. They own identifying key product features and software architecture required to support the business strategy and will take an active role with cross-functional partners to implement the vital improvements.

This person will have a meaningful role in crafting the current and future commercial strategy for the rapidly growing VELYS Enabling Technology portfolio and drive sustained profitable growth.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Drive upstream business strategy for VELYS platform solutions across orthopaedic procedures applying new and emerging technology including new transaction models, digital contracting and B2B integration.

  • Form a consistent and robust market model for digital solutions across orthopedics procedures enabling profitable commercial strategies with the opportunity to generate adjacent revenue growth.

  • Shape and support implementation of key pivotal initiatives of the VELYS organization to maintain commercial and business impact in the market with accelerated profitable growth.

  • Conduct deep analyses to evaluate competitive landscape, opportunities, and risks in Robotics and Digital Solutions. Understands the marketplace and competitor dynamics and provides expertise on data interpretation.

  • Maintain revenue, procedural and technology market growth databases (involving data mining, scrubbing, and analysis of external sources) that can be improved across the VELYS team.

  • Applies knowledge of market research and analytic methods to distill information into clear and concise communication.

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, Commercial Operations, or related field is required. Advanced degree is highly preferred.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 8 years of marketing, market research, or market intelligence within a highly regulated industry.

  • Previous experience in roles driving and achieving business results.

  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using data analysis tools and techniques.

  • Proven skills with the ability to clearly and persuasively present insights and recommendations to senior management and cross-functional teams

  • Proficiency with office systems (Excel, Word, Power Point).

  • Performance orientated, ability to adapt to change and a solution focused approach.

  • Ability to have cross-functional communication and relation with internal partners.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Experience with MedTech, robotics, life sciences, and/or capital business.

  • Strong research and analytics experience

  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate multifaceted project scopes.

Other:

  • This role can be based out of Palm Beach Gardens, Fl., Boston, MA., or Raynham, MA., and may require up to 10% travel (international and domestic).
