POSITION SUMMARY Position Summary: Lead, manage and direct Occupational and Employee Health program services including but not limited to: Pre-employment medical screening, immunizations, vaccinations, first aid medical care for work-related injuries/illnesses, all facets of workers’ compensation case management and litigation, manage transitional duty program, coordinate safety and prevention measures to support optimum hospital standards, and ensure compliance with Federal and State occupational health requirements and standards.

II. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

A. Licensure/ Certification/ Registration: Current CA RN License COHN-S, preferred

B. Education: Higher education such as AA, BS or Masters preferred

C. Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years clinical experience in occupational health, employee health, ambulatory care or emergency medicine. Knowledge and experience with disability management, basic ergonomics, ADA, FEHA, HIPAA, FMLA, OSHA, Workers’ Compensation statutes, applicable RN acts and all regulatory requirements. In-depth knowledge and experience of workers’ compensation statutes, case management and litigation. Extensive experience with developing and managing return-to-work and light duty programs.

D. Special Qualifications: Provide care and first aid within scope of practice. Proficient in performance of pertinent clinical skills. In-depth knowledge of workers’ compensation and OSHA laws and regulations. Thorough understanding of ADA, FEHA and all applicable disability-, occupational- and employment-related laws and reasonable accommodation standards. Operate patient-care equipment and interpret results accurately. Must abide by the HCA Code of Conduct and RCH Act II Standards of Behavior. Work independently, with self motivation. Integrate applicable standards of care. Document accurate and thorough reports and records. Possess excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and computer skills. Demonstrate and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems. Ability able to spell accurately, write legibly and perform basic mathematical calculations. A professional and well-groomed appearance. A professional and helpful manner
