Primary Function
The SharePoint Architect/Administrator position will focus on needs analysis, design, build and support for a Global Microsoft SharePoint environment. The preferred candidate should be considered an expert in Microsoft SharePoint, with a strong working knowledge of the product. In addition, preference will be given to candidates that also have skills in other Microsoft Suite products. This individual is expected to participate as a leader by representing IT on project teams and will have frequent interaction and communication with at all levels of the organization. Therefore, a poised, professional communication style is necessary.
Responsibilities
Provides support and manages resolution of operational problems for assigned software or hardware technologies.
Builds understanding of communications and collaboration technologies within the organization through the creation of self-service options.
Shares knowledge and mentors/assists team members and other peers who are less experienced or knowledgeable in a specific technology.
Leads and direct others in the overall administration of a specialized platform or technology.
Performs installation, configuration, and maintenance of technologies, software and solutions following established procedures and change control standards.
Maintains up-to-date awareness of industry developments and best practices in their area of specialization.
Manages own tasks within a project plan using standard methodologies (SDLC).
Manages medium to large size projects, or parts of a project, holding others accountable to delivery deadlines and quality.
Participates in post-implementation reviews to identify opportunities to continually improve processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Role Specific Responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, or related preferred. Candidates with equivalent years of related IT experience, certifications, and education also considered
7+ years related work experience or training
Experience with Microsoft SharePoint Server administration
Proficient with PowerShell, Power Apps, Power Automate
Experience supporting migration projects to SharePoint Online or OnPrem (using ShareGate or related technology)
Experience with creating and configuring sites, lists, libraries, and web parts
Experience with training the end user and Content Managers on SharePoint basics and fundamentals
Experience with working with clients, stakeholders, and end users to obtain requirements
Basic knowledge and understanding of software development languages and tools
Basic knowledge and understanding of infrastructure technologies
Experience with developing SOPs and 'How To' documentation
Solid knowledge and understanding of communication and collaboration technologies
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology Management or Related Field
High School Diploma or GED
Years of Experience
Minimum of 7 years of related work experience or training
