Job Description

The Future Talent Program features Cooperative (Co-op) education that lasts up to 6 months and will include one or more projects. These opportunities in our Manufacturing Division can provide you with great development and a chance to see if we are the right company for your long-term goals.

The position is within the North American Supply Chain Planning & Execution organization comprised of Regional Planners, Demand Fulfillment Planners, and Analytics/Process Stewards.

Under the guidance of the Regional Demand Fulfillment Manager, this role will act as a Demand Fulfillment Planner for a set of pharmaceutical products. The Regional Demand Fulfillment Planner is responsible for managing the finished goods supply chain for a set of products to ensure inventory is available to fulfill customer demand. In this role, the Demand Fulfillment Planner acts as the integration point between the Manufacturing Division and the commercial organization to align supply and demand for finished goods.

Job Functions:

  • Collaborate with Marketing and Finance to review demand forecasts, historical sales trends, and understand demand drivers.

  • Monitor supply plans through exception management to exceed customer service levels while maintaining inventory targets and adhering to planning parameters.

  • Manage resolution and communication of demand/supply imbalances through close collaboration with Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics, Marketing and Finance.

  • Maintain demand and supply planning systems with a focus on data accuracy.

Job Tasks:

  • Order fulfillment 0-12 weeks horizon

  • Manage exceptions/escalations via Rapid Response (RR) and Supply Chain Escalation Management tool (SCEM)

  • Communicate with Demand Planning (DP) regarding regional finished goods allocations

  • Expedite deliveries, as necessary, to meet customer demand

  • Accountable for finished good Inventory of Questionable Value (IQV) Process

  • Monitor Inventory Replenishment Levels (IRL) for finished goods

  • Manage artwork, Last Authorized Shipping Date (LASD), and expiry to minimize discards

In addition to the above responsibilities, this position will also participate in process improvement projects across other areas within the NA Supply Chain Team (planning, master data, analytics, process, distribution, logistics) which will strengthen the candidate's skills in teamwork, collaboration, and leadership.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Candidate must be currently enrolled in a BS or MS program in one of the following areas: Supply Chain/Logistics, Pharmacy, Bioengineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Material Science and Engineering, Business Analytics.

  • Candidate must be able to work full time for 6 months starting in Sep-2024 until Mar-2025.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Candidate should have superior communication and interpersonal skills, be a problem solver and a team player with the ability to work independently.

  • Candidate should be motivated to cultivate their leadership skills along with their technical, business and commercial skills by applying their knowledge within manufacturing and supply chain areas of expertise.

  • Candidate should have demonstrated leadership experience in the field of study, extracurricular activity, previous internship or undergraduate research, military or prior work experience.

  • Candidate should be committed to both their own career development as well as bringing their best to the Company.

  • Candidates should be interested in participating in a broad range of work experience across the supply chain organizations.
