Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking an Manufacturing Project Management Analyst 2 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in Woodland Hills, CA. The qualified individual will be a part of the Test Equipment Design & Development team.
The Manufacturing Project Management Analyst support our Test Equipment department within manufacturing. The individual will apply appropriate requirements, processes, procedures and tools throughout the system development life cycle to support the execution of test equipment systems’ programs that support navigation, space, and situational awareness engineering applications. The roles and responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Oversee and manage the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between manufacturing management and planning, project team, and line management.
Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
Assess project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Prepare schedule for starting projects and maintain them throughout the execution of these projects.
Prepare variance analysis reports in accordance to the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and update Cost and schedule of Test Equipment Projects.
Assist in the execution of the Test Equipment Projects from concept to delivery.
Execute buys for material and follow the Purchase Orders from start to delivery; tie this to the execution of the build plans on the Test Equipment projects.
Forecast and present project status for both cost and schedule.
Assist Test Equipment Management in the development of Annual Operating Plans (AOPs).
Develop financial charts/graphs for trend analysis and management review.
Spearhead the development of backup data for Department of Defense (DOD) government audits of BOEs and other Test Equipment Projects artifacts.
Reconcile Test Equipment program accounting on a weekly basis and for some critical project the analysis could be performed daily.
Manage the material buy execution and monitor budget vs. actual.
Forecast based on expert inputs and monitor risk for Test Equipment programs execution throughout the life of the projects.
Maintain the Test Equipment website where Projects financials and quad-charts resides.
Bachelors Degree from an accredited institution
3 years of directly relate experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 1 year of directly related experience with a Master's Degree.
Advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.
Must have excellent Communication, team building and facilitation skills, and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with team, upper management and customers.
Must have prior experience with giving presentations.
Thorough knowledge and prior experience with data mining and analyzing reports.
Prior experience utilizing SAP.
MBA Degree or current MBA program candidate.
