The Opportunity

The position of Director of Operations is responsible for management and oversight for all manufacturing related operations at the site.

What You’ll Work On

• Leads the Site Leadership Team in defining, implementing, and sustaining the site vision and culture

• Accountable for financial performance of product operations and projects with support to third-party manufacturers and instrument operations

• Ensures diverse functions work together to reach common goals

• Drives standard performance processes and metrics associated with the MOS (Tiered performance) meetings, Site Goals and S&OP.

• Provides leadership, communication, and coaching to employees

• Creates an environment that is safe for employees, contractors, and any visitors to the site

• Responds to onsite emergency calls as needed

• Ensures compliance to business policies, applicable laws, and regulations

• Responsible for defining, implementing, and sustaining a continuous improvement culture

• Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job; has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities

• Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationships

• Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies

• Other duties as assigned, according to the changing needs of the business

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related discipline

• Fifteen (15+) year's progressive leadership experience

• Experience leading cross functional groups, either directly or indirectly

• Experience interacting with regulatory agencies

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing environment, manufacturing controls and effectiveness.

• Previous experience working in a high-volume, fast paced manufacturing environment.

• Understanding of key financial and operational drivers

• Proficiency in problem solving and cost reduction

• Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills to influence many diverse internal and external customer groups
