The Opportunity
The position of Director of Operations is responsible for management and oversight for all manufacturing related operations at the site.
What You’ll Work On
Leads the Site Leadership Team in defining, implementing, and sustaining the site vision and culture
Accountable for financial performance of product operations and projects with support to third-party manufacturers and instrument operations
Ensures diverse functions work together to reach common goals
Drives standard performance processes and metrics associated with the MOS (Tiered performance) meetings, Site Goals and S&OP.
Provides leadership, communication, and coaching to employees
Creates an environment that is safe for employees, contractors, and any visitors to the site
Responds to onsite emergency calls as needed
Ensures compliance to business policies, applicable laws, and regulations
Responsible for defining, implementing, and sustaining a continuous improvement culture
Understands and is aware of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job; has awareness of device defects that may occur in their area of responsibility, including product design, verification and validation, manufacturing and testing activities
Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices; build productive internal/external working relationships
Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies
Other duties as assigned, according to the changing needs of the business
Required Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering or related discipline
Fifteen (15+) year's progressive leadership experience
Experience leading cross functional groups, either directly or indirectly
Experience interacting with regulatory agencies
Strong knowledge of manufacturing environment, manufacturing controls and effectiveness.
Previous experience working in a high-volume, fast paced manufacturing environment.
Understanding of key financial and operational drivers
Proficiency in problem solving and cost reduction
Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills to influence many diverse internal and external customer groups
