The Opportunity

The role is strategically located within the Global Strategic Regulatory (GSR) team which is part of the Abbott Quality and Regulatory (AQR) corporate function. The GSR VISION is to positively shape the global regulatory landscape through innovation, collaboration, and advocacy. The Manager - Regulatory Project Management will manage projects related to the Program Management Office (PMO) that reports up through Government and Regulation team to the Sustainability 2030 Plan, priorities, and efforts. https://www.abbott.com/responsibility/sustainability.html Sustainability is implicit in Abbott’s purpose: helping people live fuller lives. What You'll Work On:

The Manager, Regulatory Project Management will manage execution of projects in accordance with recognized project management methodologies such as PMBOK.

  • Develop, prioritize and submit project plans, budgets and methodologies across a range of key projects.

  • Define project resources, performance reviews and post implementation evaluations.

  • Responsible for the successful implementation of a set of projects that collectively comprise a program.

  • Engage stakeholders within Abbott at multiple levels and externally including external Advisors and supplier financial contacts.

  • Monitor progress and performance against project plans including schedule and budget.

  • Identify and resolve operational risks and issues to minimize delays.

  • Manage invoicing and contracts for suppliers to the program. Identify, plan and execute process optimization projects.

  • Exercises judgement independently.

Required Skills and Education:

  • Bachelors Degree In science (biology, chemistry, microbiology, immunology,medical technology, pharmacy, pharmacology), math, engineering, or medical fields is preferred.

  • Overall 7+ years of relevant experience including 5+ years of Project Management experience in a regulated industry (e.g., medical products, nutritionals).

  • Knowledge and experience in Global Regulatory processes and regulations.

  • Extensive experience working with cross-functional teams and managing cross-functional projects

  • Process oriented with experience in development, implementation and management of standard regulatory policies, processes, and SOP/DOPs.

  • Skilled project manager with self-initiative and drive for timely completion of milestones.

  • Strong experience with Budgeting, Invoicing, supplier management.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful, and efficient.

  • Attention to detail, excellent organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.

  • Ability to develop, communicate, and build consensus for operating goals that are in alignment with the division and corporation.

Preferred Skills:

  • PMP Certification Preferred

  • Process oriented mindset with an ability to build/refine infrastructure processes.

  • Cross divisional familiarity/Abbott experience preferred.

The base pay for this position is $95,000.00 – $190,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
