The Opportunity
We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Manager, Global Financial Reporting Administration in our Lake County, Abbott Park, IL location.
As the Senior Manager, you will provide technical and financial support for Abbott’s Global financial consolidation and its subsidiary companies. This position includes the ongoing development and support of the company’s Hyperion financial consolidation and reporting systems software which supports the financial reporting and analysis across the entire organization. These systems currently include Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Financial Data Management (FDM). Also, responsible for assisting in the preparation of financial reporting and special financial projects as required.
What You'll Work On:
Responsible for compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies and procedures.
Work with Oracle / Hyperion support to troubleshoot software and support issues
Serve as technical liaison between Finance and I.T. regarding Hyperion HFM & FDM system
Support training, education and best practices for the company’s global end-user base with respect to these systems and work flows
Participate in the ongoing development and support of the company’s Hyperion consolidation and financial reporting systems
Participate and lead continued development of the company’s consolidation and financial reporting processes, controls, procedures and reports
Stay informed of the latest software developments, technologies, and enhancements, ensuring the financial consolidation and reporting systems are in a position to support the company’s future growth (i.e., implement Hyperion Planning, Reporting, Essbase etc.)
Ongoing development of HFM reports as requested by management
Ongoing development and maintenance of Hyperion HFM for dimensions and hierarchy changes
Assist in the coordination and management of departmental information requests for budget / forecast processes, global)
Provide support to external auditors as needed
Other ad hoc requests as business needs dictate
Position Accountability / Scope:
Lead the global monthly consolidation process, ensuring that all processes and data loads are accurately completed and procedures are followed. Areas of focus and development include global intercompany account matching and quarterly tax provision information.
Lead and manage the production of timely, accurate and efficient monthly consolidated financial statements utilizing HFM and related reporting tools for all internal management reporting.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 8-10 years accounting and audit experience. CPA, CMA or MBA in Accounting or Finance preferred, but not required.
Experience in financial software applications development and support, preferably HFM and / or Hyperion Enterprise and proven success of a global financial consolidation system launch.
SAP experience preferred.
Firm understanding of US GAAP financial policies, Sarbanes / Oxley controls, and general / international accounting are necessary for success.
Effective communication skills with all levels of management
Proven ability to implement a business process change using strong project management techniques, analytical, and problem solving skills.

The base pay for this position is $127,300.00 – $254,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
