To ensure engineering release and change documentation conform to established engineering practices and maintain engineering data in the corporate Engineering Data System (EDS).
Maintains a Matrix with all ECN notifications and currents status and coordinate the correct implementation
Analyzes ECN to make the proper arrangements to avoid excess inventory of components and made the proper components notice disposition
Analyzes engineering job packages containing engineering release and change notices, drawings and related documents to ensure company engineering standards and procedures are followed. Checks clarity, completeness and accuracy and ensures documents and drawings are in agreement
Analyzes engineering documentation, drawings, etc., ensures proper production data definition and enters into EDS. Verifies accuracy of data prepared by other Engineering Release & Change Clerks prior to entry into EDS.
Refers to EDS data base releases to ensure adherence of restrictions placed on use of parts and specifications including avoidance of using canceled parts. Ensures all affected engineering drawings are changed accordingly.
Analyzes new engineering drawing releases to determine distribution and prepares and routes for typing, reproduction and distribution.
Performs related duties such as analyzing and working packages through releasing, instruction design personnel of engineering release practices, maintaining close contact with other engineering departments regarding shared EDS parts data, etc.
Required: SAP inventory and Planning knowledge
EDS Notice Interpretation
2-4 years collage degree or prior job experience.
Experience in lower level jobs in either availability & inventory management, purchasing, transportation & engineering or dealer services, storeroom and/or manufacturing.
