BAE Systems Material Handler (2nd Shift) in Aiken, South Carolina

A Material Handler will be responsible for receiving, transporting, storing, and ensuring accurate inventory levels of materials within the warehouse. Loads, unloads, and conveys materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site and performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving. Opens containers using hand tools: counts, weighs and samples materials and uses computer systems for tracking, logging, verifying and recording information. Candidate must be able to operate a forklift. Follows department's material handling practices and procedures along with customer requirements in a safe and efficient manner. Verifies quantity, and conformance of materials to stated identifications and documentation. Works with Oracle and other computer systems including both in-house programs and customer portals. Must be able to work with a team and collaborate with other departments to meet production needs.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent and 3 years of relevant work experience
Proficient Forklift Operator
Experience in manufacturing or warehousing
Strong communication skills
Must be able to work with a team
Availability to work overtime
Organizational skills
Ability to physically lift objects up to 30 pounds
A strong work ethic
Basic math skills
Strong attention to detail
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Experience with Oracle or SAP
Microsoft Office experience
Able to work with a team
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $36200 - $57900
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
