Job Description:

Summary:

This position manages overall preload operations, ensuring timely and efficient package processing that meets safety, quality, and production goals. He/She maximizes preload performance, improving center operations, and promoting individual and organizational development. This position manages full-time and part-time Preload Supervisors and support staff. He/She works with Human Resources to ensure the implementation and maintenance of a Comprehensive Health and Safety Plan. This position oversees and reviews risk management and safety compliance audits to ensure compliance with all UPS and government guidelines (e.g., safety, hazardous materials, security, environmental, etc.). He/She monitors and updates employee training and certifications to provide a safe, proficient work environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with employees, management and customers.

  • Develops and maintains working relationships with local union officials to promote positive labor relations.

  • Identifies customer needs and builds relationships to determine solutions to meet the customers’ and UPS’s business goals.

  • Resolves customers’ issues in a timely and effective manner to ensure continued long-term business.

  • Creates a customer-focused work environment to facilitate customer satisfaction and reduce churn.

  • Ensures direct and indirect reports receive coaching, document career goals, and detail plans for achieving these goals to develop personally and professionally.

  • Conducts frequent performance evaluations to facilitate open communication and encourage continuous performance improvement.

  • Identifies opportunities to advance the skills and capabilities of individuals and the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or International equivalent (Preferred)

  • Supervisory experience (Preferred)
