The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we're focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
The Associate 1 works under direct supervision. They will be responsible for maintenance activities relating to equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation, and other related costs.
What You’ll Work On
Install ergonomic workstation equipment as needed.
Set up and breakdown of short-term event equipment as needed.
Respond to and set up conference rooms for various meeting room configurations.
Responsible for carrying basic repairs and maintenance of machines and auxiliary equipment.
Conducts simple checks to ensure that machines are in good working conditions.
May perform general maintenance and plumbing work.
Performs cubicle and office set up including installing computer monitors and monitor supports.
Perform office moves by assembling desks or cubicles or disassembling for maintenance purpose.
Assist facilities staff with PMs and routine maintenance.
Replacement of lightbulbs or drop in lighting fixtures.
Moving office items between buildings using company vehicle.
Help managing efficient use of storage spaces at various buildings on campus.
Assist with escorting vendors while on site and ensuring Abbott policies are complied with.
Utilize CMMS program to log and track work orders and complete tasks on time.
Develops knowledge and skills over time.
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma / GED
Proficient with basic hand tools.

The base pay for this position is $24.45 – $48.95 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
