The Opportunity

This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care Division. We’re focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people live with diabetes with our new sensing technology

What You’ll Work On

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Marketing Operations Manager to join our team! As a Marketing Operations Manager, you will be responsible for developing tools and processed that will power the overall brand strategy to enable the global marketing team to run efficiently to achieve unified business goals.

This role will lead a team of 4 and will report to the Global Brand Management and Operations Director in Global Marketing in the Diabetes Care division.

As part of the scope of this role will be defining RASCI between global, area and local teams, marketing technology platforms, budget management, marketing internal communication, events, and marketing trainings.

Partners with our international marketing teams, global marketing teams and with cross functional teams to plan, integrate, collaborate, distribute, and track new initiatives from the brand team.

This person needs to have previous experience in marketing operations and internal communication.

Main responsibilities

  • Ensures cross-functional processes and communication is in place to deliver marketing initiatives efficiently, on time, and on budget.

  • Provide the marketing technology tools the team needs to plan and distribute marketing materials

  • Resolves project issues by working with team members, project customers, and others as appropriate.

  • Planning and executing internal campaigns and annual communication plan

  • Planning of logistics and production for internal events, global marketing meetings

  • Program management for global brand initiatives

  • Training and onboarding programs for Marketing teams

  • Work-cross functionally to align key stakeholders, including legal, regulatory, compliance and commercial teams to enable efficient approval processes for marketing teams

  • Partners with brand management and brand strategy to ensure alignment on brand representation in events and communications

  • Tracks global marketing budget including external vendors and reports on a monthly basis to key stakeholders.

  • Reports directly to Brand Management and Ops Marketing director.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree with at least 8 years’ experience, in marketing operations, or MBA with 6 years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in marketing operations, internal communication, marketing program management

  • Proven ability to build relationships and navigate complex, external organizations to identify internal champions and influence decision-makers

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Understanding of Brand Strategy foundations

  • Strong negotiation skills, with an emphasis on driving partner value

  • Excellent contract review and management skills

  • Strong collaborator who can build relationships across the organization

  • Ability to context switch and ramp up quickly on new topics

  • Clear communication, structured thinking, organization, and project management skills

  • Experience working for customer experience, brand building centric companies

The salary for this role is between $135,700 – $271,500
