The Opportunity
This position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Diabetes Care division where we are focused on helping people with diabetes manage their health with life-changing products that provide accurate data to drive better-informed decisions. We’re revolutionizing the way people monitor their glucose levels with our new sensing technology.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Specialist Marketing Communications within our Abbott Diabetes Care business reporting to the Global Digital Marketing Director. In this role, you will be the key point of contact between the respective team and internal stakeholders involved in marketing projects from start to finish, including content development, project management and global distribution of materials. This role is crucial to the success of the Business Unit's marketing objectives by creating and implementing a broad range of marketing communications activities through autonomous and collaborative project management.

Required Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in Advertising, marketing, or communications or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum 5 years In Marketing Communications
Minimum 5 years experience delivering marketing and sales tools through various mediums including but not limited to print, web, email, event, animation, video and mobile
Microsoft Office and familiarity/comfort with other web-based software tools
Strategy development through tactical executions of marketing activities
Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and influence multiple colleagues, complex tasks and projects from conception to successful completion under minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to communicate well orally, in writing and through presentations.
Strong creative, strategic, analytical, organizational and personal sales skills
Fluent in English, additional language skills a plus
Event Planning & Coordination
Experience in medical device/diagnostics, healthcare industry or agency role is a plus
Experience working internationally or with other countries and cultures is a plus
Sensitivity to cross-cultural differences
Flexible, effective, and results-driven within a fast paced, dynamic, evolving environment
Ability to work individually and with cross functional teams
Highly organized, detail-oriented, outstanding time management

The base pay for this position is $112,000.00 – $224,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
