The Opportunity

This position is an onsite opportunity in the Abbott Diabetes Care Division. We are helping people with Diabetes lead healthier, happier lives. Consistent and accurate glucose monitoring is the foundation of any diabetes management plan, so we’re committed to continuous improvement in the way patients and professionals measure, track and analyze glucose levels.

As a Supply Chain Expenditures Analyst , you will be responsible for performing tasks related to the financial planning processes across the Supply Chain organization. You will be working closely with Logistics, Planning and Finance to incorporate changes in the supply chain to the financial planning cycle. Scope of this role includes budget forecasting and tracking, gross margin improvement tracking and capital planning. This is a unique opportunity to learn all facets of supply chain and gain financial acumen, while leveraging data analytics skills.

This is an onsite opportunity in Alameda, CA.

What you'll do

• Execute tasks to maintain the transportation and warehousing budget

• Maintain, monitor and analyze financial performance metrics to be used for decision making by Supply Chain and Finance stakeholders

• Work with Finance to provide inputs needed for financial planning cycles

• Model data to evaluate the impact of planning and logistics decisions on the overall budget

• Develop visual dashboards in Excel and PowerBi to present large sets of data in a clear and actionable manner

• Track gross margin improvements associated to Supply Chain projects

• Partner with logistics providers to gather and maintain financial data derived from supply chain operational transactions

• Search out and evaluate business problems and opportunities, and direct efforts to achieve answers and results

Experience You'll Bring

Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and work experience

• 2-5 years of related work experience with a good understanding of specified functional area.

• Proficiency in Exce and PowerBI

• Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make informed decisions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various departments and stakeholders

• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities

Preferred:

• Direct experience working in supply chain (logistics, warehousing, planning, procurement)

• Experience working with or in Finance

• Experience with project management

• Knowledge of SAP

The base pay for this position is $79,500.00 – $138,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
