Position Description

What does a great Account Executive do?

You are the principal customer facing representative for the business unit. The foundational product you will be representing to and with your clients is Weiland Account Analysis (WAA). This product enables banks and credit unions with their commercial billing process by providing automation, integration and analytics that are far and above those delivered in basic core account processing platforms and treasury workstations. The success of the business unit is highly dependent on the success of the Account Executive building working relationships with each of the clients using these products. Each banking client represents a unique opportunity for cross selling products and/or professional services.

The Weiland name is well-known throughout the banking world. We believe you will be representing the “best in breed” account analysis / commercial billing system. You will be working with a variety of treasury professionals within each bank. This role involves FI assignments where the asset size of the FI is typically less than $2B.

As an Account Executive, you can look forward to:

  • Becoming a trusted partner to assigned Weiland clients, by building, expanding, retaining, elevating and managing interactions and solutions for each client.

  • Developing a deep understanding of the clients that includes business drivers and strategies, and competitive position in the marketplace.

  • Delivering extraordinary performance and responsiveness to assigned clients in order to maintain the highest likely to recommend (LTR) rating.

  • Having accountability for renewals, cross-sale revenue, product delivery and client satisfaction.

  • Representing your banking client’s interests as a member of the Weiland Business Unit management team.

  • Functioning as an inspiring leader and strategic business partner with the client.

  • Analyzing and staying ahead of significant market changes.

  • Building partnership and collaboration with the Fiserv business units to realize revenue growth, client value and satisfaction.

  • Building, improving, and executing long term client relationships and communicating with other key executives.

  • Managing and reporting on client status / detailed listings for management reference related to activities, interactions and LTR.

Basic qualifications for consideration:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in sales and account management

  • An in-depth knowledge of business and operations in the financial industry

  • Previous experience with Treasury Management Services and/or Bank Account Management

  • Previous experience with Product Management

  • Previous experience with commercial account billing and/or account analysis

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office including MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

Preferred qualifications for consideration:

  • 5 years Financial Services Provider experience

  • Previous experience running / managing Weiland Account Analysis (WAA) system

  • Previous experience running / managing other account analysis systems

  • CTP certification

The Weiland commercial products team is part of our Bank Solutions Group, and offers flexible and customizable systems for both Financial Institution (FI) Treasury Management / Cash Management teams to bill commercial customers for treasury management services, and also direct to corporate clients to manage their multiple banking relationships through fee optimization, as well as to provide a secure, auditable account access master to manage system and user entitlements. The FI system (WAA, Weiland Account Analysis) builds professionally designed billing statements detailing services provided and offers a wide array of reports that track all of the revenue gained and the revenue lost by your sales officers’ discounting and waiving of fees. WAA provides the client with a “review period” so bills can be reviewed and additional billing items can be imported into a monthly billing process. The system accepts fees and volumes for service-chargeable events/data from disparate sources using template driven parameters, automating a process that other systems typically require special programming to perform. A financial institution can add billing files to the system very quickly with no programming required.
