Director Information Technology

What does a successful Director Information Technology do at Fiserv?

You will be a technology leader with great communication skills who has the ability to relate to clients and demonstrate that their needs are being prioritized. You will manage a technology team responsible for developing and implementing solutions for our clients. You will play an active role in the project lifecycle, including discovery, analysis, scheduling, design, and implementation and make decision capabilities in a high-volume and fast- paced environment. What you will do:

  • Partner with project leads on solution design, coordinating efforts with multiple other teams both at Fiserv and external clients

  • Manage technology teams to refine SDLC practices to overcome roadblocks and accelerate delivery.

  • Work with data and be data-driven, fact-based, and have a detail-oriented approach to analysis and problem solving while working on moderate to complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the Function/BU/Fiserv

  • Work with both internal and external auditors, analyzing audit requirements, delegating responsibilities, and communicating with Fiserv and customer audit teams and supervise a technology development and implementation team while working closely with management, external vendors and advisors

  • Analyze project workflows and delegate goals and tasks, develop and maintain performance standards, and implement and monitor new projects

  • Make hiring decisions and be responsible for enterprise-wide strategy formulation, vision implementation, operational tasks, cost and risk management with extended scope that may include domestic and or international responsibility

  • Lead projects and technology resources with full responsibility for their outcomes; and plan and conduct assignments involving the larger and more important projects and resources while overseeing the outcomes and evaluating results and recommend major change in procedures; and formulate strategies to increase customer/user satisfaction

  • Use knowledge of new technology to estimate and advise concerning impact of decisions and services, and provides leadership through the assessment and analysis of complex data, theory and application of practices

What you will need to have:

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience in technical consulting, technology development, business process improvement, technology innovation, project and personnel management, and team-based consulting

  • 5+ years of expertise in high-volume transaction processing environment

  • 5+ years of executive presence with proven experience and ability to simply convey complex concepts for consumption by non-technical experts

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
