Role Definition

Coordinating activities in manufacturing processes, utilizing knowledge of equipment, procedures, and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Gather facility wide operational, safety, quality, and logistics metrics and post key metrics to monitors throughout facility.

  • Manage factory employee Recognition program – Power Up; including creation of 1-page shout outs, procurement of tokens, distribution and tracking of programs

  • Work closely with Factory Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain leaders to develop performance metrics slides for Staff Meetings, AEM, and Facility Cascades

  • Communicate to all levels of leadership within the facility and be available to participate in Team’s meetings

  • Be proficient in MS programs; up to and including Outlook, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc…

  • Perform, Plan / Method Audits of the production processes to ensure critical, to customer actions, are occurring correctly.

  • Provide support to quality issues identified on the production line as needed.

  • Create quality alerts per established guidelines to maintain operator awareness.

  • Execute special studies as directed by Section Managers to understand line performance.

  • Monitor quality performance of the line (reject activity, holds, etc.) and react to issues accordingly.

  • Repetitive bending, crouching, kneeling, reaching, twisting, sitting, standing, and walking. Must be able to lift parts and tools weighing 20 pounds on average, and occasionally weighing up to 50 pounds.

  • Other tasks as assigned by management

Role and Scope Clarity:

Successful incumbent will perform role throughout work hours yet could be requested by Section Manager to support production line needs during regular work hours or on overtime to meet customers' needs. Employee will understand and have flexibility when accepting this role, the scope of this assignment and ongoing needs to support the customer.

Education/Experience Requirement

Typically requires a high school diploma or GED, and/or prior experience in a warehouse or similar environment or related experience. Computer skills. Experience using Microsoft Excel.
