This position is mobile by design with a combination of work from home and office. Currently 4 days from home and Thursdays in the office.

Overview:

Real Estate Default - Sr. Loan Specialist - Default Administration

A Default Administration Senior Specialist will perform complex and detailed functions including, but not limited to; Investor Default Reporting, Investor/MI Claim Processing, Investor Scorecards, Default Attorney Firm Management and GRC/PQA/Audit/Exam assistance and optimization. Claims processing includes the full management of assigned work through process defined milestones, while simultaneously ensuring adherence to all internal policies, investor guidelines, federal and state regulatory/legal guidelines. Further responsibilities include oversight and assistance in ensuring timely and accurate monthly Investor Default Reporting and assisting to formalize monthly Investor Default Performance Scorecards. Position will interact with various business partners (all Default line-of-businesses, Investors, attorneys, and vendors etc.) that complete activities in support of KeyBank's Real Estate Default Servicing processes.

Key Responsibilities within Real Estate Default Loan Administration:

  • Prepare Real Estate loan files for timely and accurate default, loss mitigation and Mortgage Insurance Claim submission, approval, payment/settlement, and final loss/gain reconciliation.

  • Oversee and assist the Investor Default Reporting to optimize program via adherence to individual Investor requirements via trial reporting reviews, loan coding, timely investor submission, corrective actions and partnering with various lines-of-business to ensure understanding and proper MSP system utilization in line with Default Reporting requirements.

  • Directly assist and maintain completion of monthly Investor Performance Scorecards by working via Investor portals to gather required/assigned information and reporting data to timely and accurately complete monthly Executive scorecards.

  • Assist in gathering pertinent information in order to create and maintain monthly default Attorney Network performance scorecards

  • Responsible for identifying Investor default servicing changes (mortgagee letters, alerts, bulletins) review and assimilate information to respective Default Servicing line-of-businesses inclusive of required procedure changes

  • Assist in the further development and represent Late Stage Default to maintain sound GRC and PQA practices

  • Assist in the preparation and representation of Late Stage Default in relation to any/all internal and external audits and exams

  • Apply inā€depth Claims and Default Reporting experience for assigned portfolio of loans.

  • Ensure all information required by Investors, attorneys and internal/external business partners is timely provided via specific requests and day to day account monitoring.

  • Work with business partners as applicable to ensure efficient processes and procedures are in place and/or updated

  • Escalate to management information on attorney firms which are causing timeline/communication issues

  • Maintains knowledge of and adheres to KeyBank and/or Investor guidelines daily

  • Participate in any investor/insurer training necessary.

  • Comply with all policies and procedures as outlined in operating instructions.

  • Meet minimum individual and departmental goals and service level agreements.

  • Participate in and facilitate information sharing with your manager, business partners, and peers in a timely and efficient fashion to ensure widespread communication.

  • Evaluate key performance indicators associated with designated operational processes, pinpointing financial and quality areas of opportunity, and selecting appropriate courses of action

  • Review and complete weekly reporting as applicable/required

  • Best practice sharing and continuous improvement idea generation

  • Diminishes risk to corporation by ensuring regulatory and risk compliance

REQUIRED and/or PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • College graduate or equivalent work experience

  • Real Estate Default servicing experience

  • Practical understanding of real estate default servicing and loan servicing systems

  • Working understanding of LPS/MSP/Black Knight

  • Advanced PC skills and ability to use MS Office (Word, Excel)

  • Able to read and interpret legal documents

  • Works well with others in a fully developed work team environment

  • Proven excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines

  • Analytical, research and problem resolution skills

  • Knowledge of basic accounting principles

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work within a team structure

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience

  • 1+ years of mortgage Real Estate Default Servicing experience or equivalent mortgage banking/loan service or real estate law type of experience
