BAE Systems is seeking to hire an on-site Senior Program Manager for a large ($250M) contract IT contract. The candidate will be responsible for the overall management, coordination and delivery of the work required under the contract and serve as BAE Systems central point of contact with the Government and Sr. Leadership.

Responsibilities include:

  • Responsible for the overall management, coordination and delivery of the work required proper performance of tasks necessary for efficient and effective execution of the contract.

  • Serves as the main point of contact for the Contracting Officer (CO), the Contracting Officer s Representative (COR), the Government Program Manager, and BAEs senior management.

  • Responsible for ensuring program execution is within cost, schedule and meets the technical baseline.

  • Understand customer requirements and drive program execution in accordance with the contract, SOW, TTO SOW or other requirements documents.

  • Foster a good working relationship with prime/subcontractor partners, vendors, and key stakeholders.

  • Document system and program processes and procedures and implement process improvements as required.

  • Allocate resources (staffing, facilities, and budgets) on the contract to ensure all requirements are completed on-time and within budget.

  • Ensure all CDRLS and Non CDRLS are delivered on time and meet customer expectations.

  • Ensure cross-discipline integration and communication across TTOs within the contract to meet Government needs.

  • Key Contributor for the Operations Proposal support

  • Monitor and manage performance of contract and subordinate personnel.

  • Ensure the timely recruitment, on-boarding, and training of program staff.

  • Review all financial and technical reports before release to the Government.

  • Communicate issues and solutions to program stakeholders in a timely and transparent manner.

  • Promote a positive/innovative program atmosphere.

  • Regular (at minimum monthly) on-site engagements with program personnel, functional support, T-CORs, the COR and other customer and BAE stakeholders

  • Strong planning ability and the ability to think ahead and balance multiple competing or complimentary requirements.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Fifteen (15) years experience as a program or project manager in managing programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity of approx. $50M annually.

  • Direct experience in managing multi-TTO contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity, as well as experience in leading a multi-vendor environment is required.

  • Shall be knowledgeable of the guidelines provided by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), DoD 5000 series, and ICD 801 policies.

  • Must have demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting.

  • Must have an active PMP, FAC-P/PM Senior Level, or Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Level 3 certification in Program Management.

  • Proven management skills managing projects resulting in measurable successes and program growth.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $147300 - $250400

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
