The Senior Systems Administrator will provide support for the following activities:
-Provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems
-Manage the daily activities of configuration and operation of IT systems
-Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
-Provide assistance to users in accessing and using IT systems
-Provide support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of the client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc
-Provide Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems
-Provide support for the escalation and communication of status to agency management and internal customers
-Optimize system operations and resource utilization, and perform system capacity analysis and planning
-Provide support for the dispatch system and hardware problems and remains involved in the resolution process
-Provide in-depth experience in trouble-shooting IT systems
-Configure and manage UNIX and Windows (or other applicable) operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity of and configure network components, along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance
The Systems Administrator should meet the following educational and experience requirements:
Ten (10) years’ experience as a System Administrator in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity.
A Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university. Five (5) years of additional System Administrator experience may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
Solid hands on experience with VMWare, VCenter, Linux, and Windows is required
It is highly desired that the Systems Administrator have knowledge/experience in some or all of the following:
- Centos7, Red Hat Linux RHEL7, Windows 2012 and 2016
- Build and Maintain Virtual machines in VMware and MASH
- Familiar with Windows updates and patch management
- Make Windows Registry updates
- Managed STE/STN requirements
- Install UAM
- Configure SEAR reporting
- Install McAfee Agent
- Install Nessus Agent
- Submit DNS Request
- XACTA Updates
- Work with ISSO to add/remove systems to SSPs
- Monitor Latte Art Compliance Status
- Monitor Biscotti IAVA Status
- Configure credentialed and non-credentialed Nessus
- Submit Scan results to ISSO per request
- Familiar with NIFI
- Coordinate with Data Flow Manager to manage failover systems
- Stop/Start Linux processes
- Familiar with Product Viewer and Xkeyscore
