BAE Systems in Anniston, Alabama is seeking a Quality Auditor. In this role as a Quality Auditor, you will provide Quality Assurance support to the Anniston production teams. You will work with limited direct supervision while performing inspections such as dimensional, visual, surface roughness, and paint thickness covering machined and non-machined items, subassembly, assembly, fabrications and complete systems.

• Verify conformance with product specifications.

• Work from engineering drawings, inspection procedures, military and commercial specifications, purchase orders, technical handbook, written requirements, sketches or charts, and record the correct disposition of Accept or Reject within the correct data base (i.e. Oracle, EFIR, TipQA).

• Provide mentorship to other Auditors.

• Ensure parts, components, and assemblies conform to engineered blueprints and are in compliance with quality requirements, work instructions, MIL standards, etc.

• Prepare, execute, and maintain various inspection records, forms, reports, and quality record files as required.

• Ensure proper care and maintenance of inspection equipment such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, surface plates, etc.

• Conduct audits that encompass physical product, tooling, fixturing documentation, and process control system.

• Perform other plant duties as assigned.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Typically requires a High School diploma or the equivalent.

• Experience working within a manufacturing environment.

• Understanding of Quality procedures.

• Basic computer skills to work with software applications including Oracle, EFIR, TipQA.

• Able to work with minimum supervision.

Pay Information

This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
