Job Description
BAE Systems is hiring a Program Manager to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business. This role will support the Paladin Program and work with multiple functions across the organization with direct interface to the customer. Collaborate with program leadership in the management and execution of cost and schedule for subprojects within the program structure. Communicate cross-functionally to ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) regulations and contractual requirements. This role will report to the Paladin Production Program Director.
This is expected to be a hybrid role where the individual will work onsite 3 days per week.
The position can be based out of any BAE Systems CMS site supporting Paladin with the following sites preferred: Anniston, AL; Elgin, OK; York, PA; and Sterling Heights, MI.
The role will require up to 25% domestic travel for corporate meetings, customer engagements, and events.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and support program execution plans to ensure program requirements and statements of work are captured and scheduled.
Support Earned Value Management (EVM) analyses, Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) analyses, and project subcontract and execution plan development.
Support day-to-day activities to coordinate and manage projects for performance compliance with cost estimates, plan schedules, and status reporting requirements within established company practices to identify and mitigate program risks and meet project commitments.
Manage all contractual Conditional Sales Letter (CSL) actions and develop plans to drive these to closure ahead of schedule and within defined budgets.
Responsible for the capture of all consideration items associated with program variances and driving these actions across the team.
Development, analysis, and review of project reports and other program documentation.
Monitor metrics and provide coordination and support, as required, to program leadership and program management reviews.
Create and maintain analytics to support regular communication and interfacing with the customer and internal leadership.
Perform analyses and prepare reports to ensure estimates for contracts are within acceptable parameters and government cost control guidelines.
Manage and coordinate monthly vehicle sales and targets as well as supporting effective risk and opportunity management.
Support Program Risk Management, Supply Chain, and Subcontractor activities.
Support process development, improvement, and implementation initiatives identifying technical and business resources needed.
Assess issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Support Program Management Reviews and Lifecycle Management activities.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in a related field and 8 years of experience or equivalent experience
Experience in Program/Project Management, including developing and managing SOWs, budgets, and schedules
Experience in Program Management/Cost Account Management/Earned Value Management/Program Controls on Development or Production contracts
Knowledge of Program/Project Management integration and functional inter-relationships
Knowledge of Department of Defense (DoD) regulations
Demonstrated leadership skills with Program Managers, Integrated Product Team Leads, Engineering Leads, and Government customers
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Strong negotiation skills
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
PMP Certification
Experience with Combat Vehicle (CV) programs
Excellent relationship management across the CV organization and with the CV customers
Demonstrated experience with contracts management
Demonstrated experience with Mil-Std 881, WBS development, and project initiation
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $106654 - $181311
