Lockheed Martin Material Handler Sr. in Archbald, Pennsylvania

Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control team is looking for a Material Handler Sr. to join the Archbald, PA team. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 Works with Operations leadership, Production Control, Customer and Government Representatives on a daily basis in a courteous and professional manner

 Performs all types of storeroom activity, including receiving and placing incoming materials into the storeroom and filling work order requirements

 Performs all necessary tasks associated with the setup, running and daily maintenance of the SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Assembly line

 Maintain perishable items using FIFO or expiration date criteria

 Check quantity received against material receivers by counting or weighing

 Stores all material in a safe manner, utilizing space to maximum advantage

 Participates during internal and external audits as required

 Validates paperwork to product

 Employee will receive and/or process material for storage and use as required

 Must maintain a clean and orderly work area

 Responsible for receiving in-coming parts, determining their destination, and completing all

necessary paperwork involved

 Maintains records of results

 Physical condition allowing:

a. Lifting 50 pounds

b. Standing, sitting, bending, walking, 10+ hours per day

c. Personal protective equipment including Steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, hearing

protection, and wearing a respirator when required

 Adheres to safety guidelines and the correct procedures for performing tasks to prevent personal injury or damage to product and/or equipment

 Assist in the training of employees as assigned

 Supports continuous improvement activities and participates in problem solving activities

 Perform other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications:

 Must be able to become Licensed Forklift operator

 Must be able to safely move product with tools such as fork lifts, pallet jacks, carts and similar tools

 Must be able to count using tools such as scales and x-ray part counters, and other measuring devices

 Must be able to support a flexible work schedule supporting overtime, off-Fridays, weekends,

and/or alternate shifts to support product schedules as required

 Must be able to obtain a Government Security clearance

 Must be a US Citizen

 Basic computing literacy is required

 High School diploma or equivalent

Desired Skills:

 Previous experience in a warehouse or inventory control environment

 Responsible for training new personnel on policies, procedures and duties

 Forklift experience

 Crane and hoist experience

 Inventory Control experience

 Shipping and traffic experience

 Familiar with proper Electrostatic Discharge Sensitive (ESD) handling processes & procedures

 Experience working in a receiving stockroom or shipping area, or loading and unloading parts,

or packing or unpacking materials, and keeping inventory counts

 Shop floor coordination/material handling

 Ability to work well with others and cross shift with others on the same work

 Be a self-starter and be able to work with limited supervision

 Demonstrated computer skills areas of LM tools including SAP, Apriso, Command Media, PAL

and Windchill

 Demonstrated Microsoft Office computer proficiency

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
