The Director of Purchasing plays a pivotal role in managing the procurement of goods and services essential for hotel operations. This position ensures that all departments receive quality products in a timely and cost-effective manner, adhering to Hyatt’s standards and policies. The key responsibilities include but are not limited to Procurement Management, Vendor Relations, Inventory Control, Budget Oversight, Overseeing the integrity of the food and beverage storerooms, Compliance and Documentation.

This role is integral to maintaining Hyatt’s commitment to quality and operational excellence, requiring a strategic approach to procurement and supply chain management.

Annually Salary $ 80,900

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three to five years of experience in hotel purchasing is preferred.

  • A degree in Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong negotiation abilities, excellent communication skills, and proficiency in procurement software (e.g., Birchstreet) are essential.
