The NGA Gateway West team is looking for talented Data Engineers to perform data loading of large data sets consisting of standard and non-standard products from multiple sources.
Sustain mission application databases and datasets
Implement procedures to ensure operational data and metadata are current and consistent with standards
Provide software and services to load, process, condition and store data in preparation to be disseminated
Work closely with government and contractor data loaders to validate integrity of the data to be published
Adapt datasets to multiple standards dependent on mission requirements
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s degree and four years of work experience or equivalent
RedHat Enterprise Linux or similar Linux OS knowledge
Proficiency in SQL & experience writing complex queries.
Experience with JAVA or C programming using embedded SQL.
High attention to detail and desire to maintain synchronization of data between multiple networks.
Ability to generate reports and ArcMap graphics to communicate & collaborate data solutions with other organizations.
Willingness to debug and maintain existing database/system.
Ability to work independently or with a team (as needed)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
TS/SCI security clearance is a must
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Understanding of Geospatial Data
Knowledge of Eclipse IDE, Oracle Database Administration and development, or ProgreSQL
Experience with JBOSS EAP
Knowledge of NGA products, disclosures and release concepts
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $99200 - $168600
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
