The Reliability Engineer is responsible for defining the optimal asset reliability strategies for technical assets in accordance with their criticality for the business and driving qualitative and sustainable asset performance (Right First Time, Cost, and Schedule Attainment) by enhancing the technical availability of critical assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing technical support to the maintenance, operations and project departments on equipment reliability matters
Support and contribute to the overall site goal of enhancing asset performance
Develop a long-term vision and plan for manufacturing equipment reliability performance improvement
Drive an integrated risk management approach for EHSS, Quality and technical reliability in an efficient way according to site procedures and current GMP standards
Develop standards across the equipment lifecycle using RCM (Reliability centered maintenance) methodology, apply OAC (operator asset care) where applicable
Supervise and analyze the reliability performance, and drive root cause elimination & improvements
Coordinate across engineering, maintenance and operations
Drive technological innovation within MAM (industry 4.0, use operating hours to upgrade maintenance plans, apply smart sensors, etc.)
High degree of internal collaboration (manufacturing, quality, engineering, internal CoE’s, etc.) to remove barriers, clarify roles and responsibilities, coordinate and implement project plans
Extensive interaction with external partners (knowledge centers, specialized contractors, external experts) and collaboration with universities and industry consortia to drive innovation
Qualifications:
Education:
Minimum Bachelor's / University or equivalent degree is required; a degree from an ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering & Technology) accredited university is strongly preferred
Certifications preferred in: PMP/FPX (or equivalent project management certification), Manufacturing Asset Management Certification (MAMC), and/or Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP)
Experience and Skills:
Required:
Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
Reliability and/or Maintenance experience within a process or pharmaceutical cGMP regulated environment
Experience with best practices in preventive maintenance, condition monitoring, maintenance planning, reliability engineering, RBA/Weibull, or FMECA
Experience in failure analysis
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to operate effectively as part of a team
Preferred:
Experience with Data mining/curation and Trend Analytics
Proficiency with one or more of the following systems: Mechanical, Electrical, Instrument, and/or Utilities
Other:
- Requires ability to work onsite during day shift hours (e.g., 8am - 4pm) and occasionally work alternate shifts / extra hours (e.g., shut-down, planning, overtime) depending on business needs
